Holiday shoppers across Northern Michigan are invited to attend Black, Brown & Indigenous Friday, a brand new artist and maker market from 3-7 p.m., December 1, and 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., December 2 across multiple floors of the Commongrounds building, located at 414 E 8th st. This event celebrates the cultural richness of our region and features over two-dozen Black, Indigenous, and creative entrepreneurs of Color.

This event has grown out of the multi-year tradition of spotlighting and patronizing diverse local businesses as part of Northern Michigan E3’s annual Juneteenth celebration. It is being organized by members of Commonplace Community Coworking’s monthly BIPOC Friday Founder meetup group. Black, Brown & Indigenous Friday is a curated craft fair that celebrates and highlights the creativity of BIPOC artists and makers across various domains, including art, apparel, beauty, food, and home decor.
